2013 VANS CUSTOM CULTURE VOTING
Hello everyone! A group of students and I have been painting shoes for the Vans Custom Culture Contest for the past few months and yesterday we found out that our school made the top 50 out of the 1500 schools that competed across the nation (for our second year in a row)! We’re extremely excited to share the news! We’re in the semifinals which means that the public votes on the best shoes from each region. There are 5 regions that each have 10 schools that compete in them. We’re in the NORTHWEST. Somehow another Mountain View manages to be in the top 50 with us making it hard to know which one we are. The school that receives the most votes from each region moves onto the finals (for a total of five), which are in New York this year. If we win our region, the school’s art department automatically receives $4,000. If we win finals we will receive an extra $50,000 for the school! We made it to the top 5 last year and spent the money towards art education at elementary schools, so it’s going towards a good cause. I need all of you to share the link and get out the message to vote for MOUNTAIN VIEW HIGH SCHOOL -ID in the NORTHWEST region. It’s okay to share, you won’t lose friends, trust me. I really appreciate it!
